People are moving from all over the United States to experience the North Texas suburbs. Many new parents want to raise their children in a safe, clean, friendly community with great schools and activities. And they still want to live close enough to a big city like Dallas for work and adventures. Around the DFW area, there isn’t just “one” town to consider.a property listing managed by North Texas Property Management

The area is full of up-and-coming neighborhoods. Many of them fill out the family’s wish list. The difference is each community has its own unique “flavor.” And if it’s becoming difficult to choose a permanent homestead, why not rent? We specialize in single-family homes, condos, and townhouses in several great little towns.

If the kids are still very little, parents might have time before placing them in a terrific North Texas school system. They can explore and experience the local flavor of a north Texas town for themselves before committing.

Here are three great little towns near Dallas and Fort Worth that could be the right fit:

The City of Sachse, pronounced sack-see, was established in 1845 and is only 20 miles northeast of Dallas. The population is around 32,000 and growing. The city provides several free annual events for young families, like the Sachse Pumpkin Prowl. Little ones can hunt for a pumpkin on the grass, play games, and watch an evening movie. It’s a wonderfully photo-worthy event. And so is the yearly Christmas Extravaganza, which includes a festive parade, live music, and tree lighting.

Sachse also has great parks for any day of the year. Heritage Park is a 36-acre park with walking and jogging trails, three baseball fields, and picnic tables with grills. There is also the recent addition of J.K. Sachse Park, where kids can play in a new expansive splash pad. It also has an event Pavilion and sand volleyball court.

To remain on top of Sachse’s events and fun, the Sachse News is a great resource: https://sachsenews.com/.
Mansfield Park is a balanced blend of the city and suburban living with a short drive to Fort Worth and Dallas. Elmer W. Oliver is a park with easy nature walks, allowing the kids to explore and exercise in the fresh air. Mansfield also has a Commission for the Arts (https://www.mansfieldtexasarts.org/) which brings new programs and public art to the community. And Historic Downtown Mansfield has plenty of charm and shopping too (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN26MxBnMWw). It’s a friendly tight-knit community ready for the next generation to put down roots.

Burleson, Texas has a personality of its own. The Fort Worth suburb has a population of over 57,000 and is still growing. A bigger town means bigger amenities like the Pirates Cove Fun Zone (https://piratescovefunzone.com/). Kids can cool off all day on the 11 waterslides and four activity pools. And Old Town Burleson is terrific to get that classic Texas feel with modern dining, shopping and live music.

Finally, the quality of life in Crowley, Texas is easygoing. It’s a suburb of Fort Worth but far enough away to take a breath at the end of the day. Tiny but mighty, little Crowley makes family living easy with great schools and safe, clean neighborhoods.

If you are not ready to buy a home, renting is a great option too. Take a look at our current properties up for rent: https://www.ntxpm.com/properties/.
